Kansas City Chief sign cornerback Antonio Hamilton

The Kansas City Chiefs finally made a move at the end of the opening week of free agency by signing cornerback Antonio Hamilton.
The Kansas City Chiefs have broken their silence on the transaction wire by signing cornerback Antonio Hamilton, per Terez Paylor of Yahoo! Sports.
Hamilton, who turned 27 years old in January, first entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent as a small school project from South Carolina State. The Oakland Raiders were the first team to give him a chance and he worked his way onto the active roster for four games in his first year and eight games in his second season. Since then, he’s earned an even larger role for the New York Giants in each of the last two seasons.
Paylor also reported that Hamilton was willing to take less money for the sake of playing for the defending Super Bowl champs.
Hamilton was impressive last year in his ability to earn so much playing time. The Giants started him twice and played him in all 16 games in 2019. He has 17 total tackles and 4 passes defended last season.
Hamilton is likely going to share playing time with Rashad Fenton down the depth chart as a special teams player and defender in obvious passing downs. The Chiefs could use help at corner in any way possible, both in quantity and quality given that only Fenton and Charvarius Ward remain under contract for 2020 before you get into fringe roster players.
The Chiefs have already lost Kendall Fuller in free agency and are likely to see Bashaud Breeland leave for a team able to pay him more. If Breeland returns, it would be a big win for a Chiefs team that could use another starter outside.
