We’re here to keep track of former Kansas City Chiefs players in their new homes as the NFL free agency frenzy continues.

At the start of the new league year in the National Football League, an estimated 510 players became free agents, able to sign with any team for any amount over any length of time. Every year, the opening of these transactional floodgates creates a media frenzy as outlets try to not only report the onslaught of news but analyze each move as well.

It can be hard to keep track of what a busy team is doing in the wake of another day of news. Some players are signed which means others are released. Trades are made and draft assets are swapped. It can be a lot to take in, so we wanted to help you out, at least those within Chiefs Kingdom.

We’re set up to have two activity trackers for you: one documenting the Kansas City Chiefs offseason and one following former Chiefs players. Our hope is to create a one-stop shop with an easy summary of what’s happened in case you’ve been distracted by bigger news or just need a reminder of what’s already transpired.

Read on for a rundown of where you can find former Chiefs players in new homes during this 2020 offseason.

KENDALL FULLER

The Washington Redskins acted quickly in the early negotiation period before free agency began to ensure a homecoming for cornerback Kendall Fuller. The Redskins were reportedly reluctant to ever deal him to the Chiefs in the first place, but they needed a franchise quarterback so badly at the time that they parted with him to land Chiefs QB Alex Smith. It took some time, but they grabbed him back on the open market at a rate of four years at $44 million.

EMMANUEL OGBAH

Chiefs Kingdom was disappointed to see Ogbah land outside of Kansas City this offseason after seeing how well he fared in Steve Spagnuolo’s defensive system. At the time of his season-ending pectoral injury, Ogbah led K.C. with 5.5 sacks. He still parlayed that half-season of production into a two-year, $15 million deal with the Miami Dolphins.
