Nick Vigil

The Cincinnati Bengals had very, very few bright spots in 2019 as the NFL’s most pathetic team, but Nick Vigil was the Pac-Man in the middle eating up as many tackles as he could find. Last season he finished with 111 of them along with 5 passes defended, 1 sack and 1 interception.

Of any of the options to appear on this list, Vigil might be the best coverage linebacker among them. A former third round pick for Cincy, it took some time for him to find his stride after dealing with injuries, but he’s a three-down linebacker for the Bengals and would be a decent addition for any team looking for help at the position.

Synopsis: Rumors were swirling already this offseason about the Bengals’ interest in some of the top linebackers available in this free agent class, and it’s not wrong for them to want to upgrade. But Vigil could return if they strike out which might create enough competition to make Vigil too expensive for the Chiefs.
