Chris Jones took to Twitter to let Chiefs Kingdom know that he wants to spend his entire career in Kansas City. Is that possible?

As we head into the offseason, there are a few major questions surrounding some pending free agents—Chris Jones being the biggest of all.

With the season Jones had and the game-changing, disruptive impact he brings to the defensive line, Jones is certain to seek a huge contract, one that is absolutely deserved. Imagine a long-term extension for Jones coupled with Frank Clark for the foreseeable future. It’s a dream of a defensive line. However, with the inevitable contract of Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs may have some tough decisions to make.

Regardless, Chris Jones is starting to make his wishes known. Jones took to Twitter today to answer questions with the hashtag, #AskChrisJones. One fan asked Jones if he is staying with the Chiefs for the rest of his career. His response should certainly warm the hearts of Chiefs Kingdom.

Clearly, Jones loves Kansas City and Kansas City certainly loves him. The question, however, will be whether Brett Veach and the rest of the Chiefs front office can work out a deal that makes keeping him financially savvy.

After the season Jones had, it would not be surprising if he seeks Aaron Donald money. Can the Chiefs afford that with their current cap situation and the upcoming contracts? It remains to be seen.

A franchise tag could be applied to keep him in place for one more season (which could cost the Chiefs $15.5 million) or a tag and trade like what Seattle did with Frank Clark last offseason. Veach will certainly need to work his magic to make this marriage happen. Hopefully the sides can agree on something that works for Jones and works for the Chiefs because, if they can, I see a dynasty forming.
