Damien Williams was listed as questionable for the Kansas City Chiefs heading into Week 11 but it’s now looking like he will be ready to face the Chargers.

In the full week of practice leading up to the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11, Damien Williams was excused from team practice for personal reasons.

The details are still unknown as to why Williams was not with the team in preparation for their divisional showdown in primetime, but NFL reporter Ian Rapoport has word that Williams did travel with the team to Mexico City and is expected to play.

On the team’s injury designations before the game, Williams was listed as “questionable” for the Monday Night Football game against the Chargers. The game is being played south of the border in one of the league’s international exhibitions this year, but this game is also very important for the Chiefs in terms of their divisional standing. Having Williams in the fold ensures a healthy backfield and gives the Chiefs more options as a loaded offense.

Williams is coming off of his two best performances of the season in the team’s last two games after dealing with consistency and health issues in the early going. Williams has ran for 202 yards and 35 yards receiving against the Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans.

Together with LeSean McCoy, Darrel Williams and Darwin Thompson, Damien Williams gives the Chiefs a solid committee approach to the position that allows each player to stay fresh and excel in personalized situations.

Williams has a career-high total of 302 rushing yards on the season.
