The Kansas City Chiefs released their most recent injury report as they prepare for Monday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Kansas City Chiefs have released their official injury designations leading into the team’s Monday Night Football matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. For the Chiefs, the injuries have begun to slowly heal and this week’s injury report looks fairly reasonable compared to the exhaustive lists of previous games.

The Chiefs announced that three players are out for the game: defensive linemen Emmanuel Ogbah and Alex Okafor as well as tight end Blake Bell. The Chiefs also announced that two more players are questionable in running back Damien Williams and cornerback Kendall Fuller.

The Chiefs made no secret of the nature of Ogbah’s season-ending pectoral muscle tear after it happened, but they’ve yet to place him on injured reserve to end his season. Once that happens, Ogbah will no longer be listed on these weekly injury reports. In short, his inclusion here is not surprising.

As for Okafor, he’s already missed a few games this season with a previous hip injury. Now he’s dealing with an ankle issue that will keep him out of the team’s final game before the bye week. Given the loss of Ogbah, Okafor’s inability to go leaves the Chiefs thin outside on the defensive front. Here’s hoping having the next couple weeks off gives him a chance to recuperate for the stretch run.

Bell is also dealing with an ankle injury but Deon Yelder should be able to step right in there without missing a beat.

As for the questionable ones, Fuller continues to deal with a thumb injury and he was actually downgraded from a full to limited participant in practice as the week wore on. Fuller is a talented young slot corner and losing him means Rashad Fenton must step up once again. He’s been impressive as a sixth round rookie in small sample sizes.

Williams is an unknown here. He missed practice this week but it reportedly wasn’t due to any injury at all.

Another injury to watch is right tackle Mitchell Schwartz who wasn’t given any designation but he was limited in practice all week and wore a brace on his knee.
