Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are coming off their bye week so thankfully there is no game to recap (makes my job just a smidge easier). But, there were some interesting developments coming out of Denver regarding their injured reserve.

Quarterback Drew Lock, drafted in the second round by John Elway out of Mizzou returned to practice for the first time since suffering a thumb injury. His return to practice sparks questions of what the Broncos will do heading into the back half of the season. With an impressive start from Brandon Allen, the Broncos must decide if they will relegate him to backup again or keep him in the starting slot. If Drew Lock impresses in practice, we may see yet another rookie starting.

The Broncos head to Minnesota to take on the Vikings in an afternoon showdown. The Vikings are coming off a spectacular win against the Dallas Cowboys. The Vikings are clearly the better team. While there are certainly questions at certain positions (cough quarterback), the Vikings have Dalvin Cook and Stefon Diggs. It is hard to imagine the Broncos pulling out a win when they are starting a backup quarterback and have looked like the worst team in the AFC West this year. Who knows, stranger things have happened, but I’m not one to bet on the Broncos pulling off the upset.

Opening line odds for the Broncos in Week 11: +10.5.

Game time is 12:00 p.m.
