The Kansas City Chiefs take to the road to face the Denver Broncos in front of a national audience. It will be interesting to see what the oddsmakers feel about the Chiefs’ chances.
The Kansas City Chiefs (4-2) lead the AFC West but are only two games up on the last place Denver Broncos (2-4). Denver would love to extend the Kansas City losing streak to three games, but what do the oddsmakers have to say about that?
Chiefs vs. Broncos: Betting Lines, Odds and Moneyline
The spread still shows confidence in the Chiefs despite their last two outings. The line stands at Chiefs -3 on the road, courtesy of The Action Network.
The over/under line is intriguing because the Chief’s high flying offense usually keeps that number over 50. For this game, it sits at 48.5. The two teams allow a combined average of 41.7 points a game, which would explain the lower number, but Kansas City alone score an average 28.7 points a game.
Evidently, the last two games have led oddsmakers to question the Chiefs’ ability to score as many points as they did earlier in the season.
The money line also heavily favors the Chiefs with the lines sitting at -160 for the Kansas City and +140 for Denver.
There doesn’t seem to be much faith in the Broncos even against a struggling Chiefs team. Of all the money bet on this game, 78% of it at this time has been on the visiting team.
Chiefs vs. Broncos: Prop Bets
This game has some exciting prop bet opportunities. Everyone knows the Chiefs defense has been struggling of late. Kansas City allows a whopping 161.8 yards a game on the ground and opponents have rushed for at least 180 yards in each of the last four games.
The Broncos average 116 yards rushing a game, with the carries split between two running backs. The intriguing prop bets are the over and under marks for those running backs. The over/under for Phillip Lindsay is 67 with a moneyline of -119 for the over and a -107 for the under. For Royce Freeman, the over/under in rushing yards is 52 with the moneyline at -113.
If you don’t like betting against the Chiefs, there is a line for Tyreek Hill receiving yards. The over/under is 74.5 yards, and the line is -113. How many rushing yards will LeSean Mccoy get? His mark is set at 40.5, with a line of -113.
There is no line for how many yards Patrick Mahomes will have, only for touchdowns (two) and pass completions (24).
