Chuck Harris, DE

Last week we wrote about Kansas City working out former Bears UDFA Chuck Harris. The Chiefs worked out Harris in light of the news of Alex Okafor‘s hip injury that knocked him out of their Week Four matchup with the Detroit Lions.

Good teams do this. They anticipate where depth may become an issue and keep a running list of available guys for when there is a need. Now that Kansas City is down at least three linemen, probably at least through next week, it may be time to call on Harris’ services.

Harris was an undrafted rookie free agent signing by the Bears this Spring. Most Bears analysis seemed to believe he’d make the roster for the team, but he was among late August cuts when the final roster squeeze came about. Patrick Sheldon of Da Windy City, our FanSided Bears Site, wrote about his sleeper candidacy early this summer.
