The injuries continue to pile up for the Kansas City Chiefs as they get ready to host the undefeated Baltimore Ravens on Sunday for a Week 3 showdown for AFC positioning.

The Kansas City Chiefs continue to deal with new injuries as they prepare for the Baltimore Ravens, but the franchise might have some good news soon on wide receiver Tyreek Hill. That’s a positive sign in the midst of a week that continues to add more and more names to the injured list.

The Chiefs offense is high-octane and is built to withstand a few hurdles, but the Chiefs are finding their backfield depth tested significantly heading into Week 3’s showdown for AFC playoff positioning against the visiting Baltimore Ravens. Both Damien Williams and LeSean McCoy remain injured at midweek, which brings up a lot of questions for the Chiefs as they head into the weekend.

Williams was the worst of the two on Wednesday as he was completely out of practice with a knee injury and no official update or timeline has yet been given. McCoy, meanwhile, was limited in practice as he attempts to deal with an ankle issue. If the Chiefs were to somehow go without either player on Sunday against the Ravens, it would signal the arrival of sixth round pick Darwin Thompson in the spotlight.

Eric Fisher, the team’s left tackle, learned earlier in the day that he would require core muscle surgery, which has already been scheduled, and the window for his absence is expected to be between four to six weeks depending on his healing. That’s another major offensive loss for the Chiefs.

As for their star receiver in Hill, Adam Teicher of ESPN had the following update which at least puts a positive spin on his own sternoclavicular dislocation.

Teicher’s update certainly isn’t a medical one, per se, but any signs of life from a player so talented is good news for the Chiefs. While other names were listed on the Chiefs injury report, everyone else was a full participant in practice on Wednesday.
