With the Kansas City Chiefs victory over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, Andy Reid tied Chuck Noll in 6th place on the NFL’s all time win list.

From here on out, the names (somehow) become more and more legendary.

On Sunday afternoon, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid tied Pittsburgh Steelers coaching hero Chuck Noll on the NFL’s all-time win list among head coaches. With the Chiefs victory over the Oakland Raiders in Week 2, Reid earned his 209th career win—regular season and playoffs—which placed him square with Noll for sixth on the NFL’s all-time list of head coaches.

Noll was head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers for an incredible 23-year run—one that stretched from 1969 to 1991. For the sake of comparison, picture Andy Reid in K.C. until 2035. By that time, Travis Kelce, Jr. could be on the team. Noll own four Super Bowls and earned NFL Coach of the Year honors on three separate occasions.

If the Chiefs can defeat the Baltimore Ravens at home in Week 3, Reid will take sole possession of sixth place with 210 wins and will be looking up at the legendary top five. Up next would be Curly Lambeau, the great Packers coach, who had 229 total wins to his name. That total could only be reached with a successful year in 2019 and again in 2020. From there, the ladder becomes really hard to climb further given the totals separating Lambeau from the rest.

After Lambeau, Dallas Cowboys coach Tom Landry comes in next at 270 wins followed by New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, who is the only active coach more accomplished than Reid. Belichick has an astounding 294 wins. George Halas is at No. 2 overall with 324 wins in his career, while Dolphins great Don Shula has a whopping 347 victories in the regular season and postseason.

Next. Patrick Mahomes looks like the MVP again. dark

If the Chiefs can capture a Super Bowl title, Reid’s resume will be cemented as one of the NFL’s most gifted leaders and coaching minds of all time, but given his longevity and consistent success in the NFL, he already possesses Hall of Fame credentials and should hear his name immortalized alongside his players in Canton when he’s ready to retire.
