Conclusion

Is it just me, or did that seem like the longest offseason ever. It feels like forever since Patrick Mahomes broke the Chiefs’ franchise record for touchdowns and passing yards in a season, en route to the first MVP award a Chiefs player has ever won.

It seems like a lifetime ago that the New England Patriots snuffed out the best season Chiefs Kingdom has had in decades, mere inches from the Super Bowl. Yet, here we are on the cusp of the most anticipated season in Kansas City football in a long time.

With great expectations comes great responsibility. This Chiefs team has all the talent it needs to run the table. Because the NFL is such a grind, I doubt that will happen.

However, my main point is that this team has more talent than any team it will face. If they focus and grind like their young phenom signal caller has demonstrated, there’s no reason this year’s expectations shouldn’t become reality.
