Last five out:

CB Rashad Fenton

Yes, the Chiefs spent a 6th round pick on Rashad Fenton. They reportedly liked his versatility as a cornerback and safety in the Chiefs system. At this point in time, I believe he is less talented than several of the cornerbacks on the roster. Fenton is not especially flashy but has a good chance of making the practice squad.

DT Xavier Williams

Now that Kansas City has moved to a 4-3, life gets a little harder for Xavier Williams. As a bigger guy who generally works a nose tackle, Williams will be stretching for his spot. Additionally, the Chiefs have plenty of depth on the defensive line. At this point in time, he seems like the odd man out.

LB Dorian O’Daniel

I will be the first to admit it. I like Dorian O’Daniel a lot. He has a lot of speed and upside. Unfortunately for him, the Chiefs got a really good deal for Darron Lee. They play the same role and are similar players. O’Daniel is currently buried on the depth chart and if he makes the roster, it is because of his ability on special teams. Another team will be lucky to have him on their roster.

RB/KR Tremon Smith

The writing is on the wall for Tremon Smith. It seemed as though he would have a spot on the roster as the kick returner, but then Mecole Hardman showed up. Smith switched from cornerback to running back and I believe this is a last-ditch effort for the Chiefs to keep him on the team. Unfortunately, the other running backs on the roster have more experience and overall ability that Smith does.

S Armani Watts

This one may change. It seems very possible that Watts makes the roster over a guy like Jordan Lucas. It may be one of the best preseason roster battles to watch. Watts is rangy and can track the ball well; However, he is not a very good tackler which seems to be an important feature in Steve Spagnuolo’s defense. At this point in time, I think that Lucas beats out Watts, but that could easily change.
