Travis Kelce was back at training camp for the Kansas City Chiefs and seems ready to roll even after offseason ankle surgery.

This week marks the beginning of training camp for the Kansas City Chiefs in St. Joseph, and it was also the first real action for tight end Travis Kelce since his recent ankle surgery in the offseason.

After the first afternoon practice, Kelce talked to reporters, and he spoke about how good his ankle felt after his first practice.  “I am 100 percent, flying out there and having fun,” Kelce said, with a smile on his face.

This is what fans are wanting to hear from the All-Pro tight end who was one of quarterback Patrick Mahomes favorite targets in 2019 with 103 receptions for an incredible 1,300 yards.

Despite coming off of an injury, Kelce had a very clear word for those who asked whether he’d ease back into things. “We are here. Once we hit the ground running at training camp, it’s full go.” It appears that Kelce is ready to be the go-to man again in 2020, and we will all be here to see it.

Kelce was asked about the chemistry of the team as of late, and you could have sworn he blushed at the mention of Mahomes. During the interview, Kelce talked about how he knew the chemistry was good, and that trips like the one that some of the team took to the beach are just testaments of how great the chemistry actually is.

Since 2016, Travis Kelce as eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark every year as an incredibly reliable receiver. He also brings the style both on and off the field, where Kelce was recently announced to be in part of Sports Illustrated’s most fashionable athletes.

Training camp has just started and it will be interesting to see if Kelce’s confidence is well-placed in his health. The team will need him to be ready to roll, ankle surgery and all, once the season begins. Training camp will tell us some of the story as the team prepares to open its preseaseon slate on August 8th against the Bengals.
