Travis Kelce makes Sports Illustrated’s Most Stylish Athletes

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is no stranger to the latest fashion trends and it’s landed him on SI’s Most Stylish Athletes.

Sports Illustrated has come out with their 2019 Most Stylish Athletes in Sports list, and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has made the official cut.

For all of his impressive efforts on the field, a body of work that led him to set a franchise record for receptions in a single season with 103, Kelce has also always put an equal amount of work into looking good anywhere he goes.

For the Sports Illustrated feature, the magazine brought together six judges for a fashion panel, a mix of visual architects and personal stylists, to judge the various athletes that made up the list. Serena Williams graces the very cover of the magazine, while some of the most well-known athletes in any sport were also included—names like Christian Ronaldo, James Harden, Odell Beckham, Jr., Tom Brady, and LeBron James.

When it comes to Kelce, he’s included under the category of Swag Stars (whatever that means) and Sports Illustrated wrote the following:

"Animal prints, patterned suits, trendy eyewear and more—Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s audacious when it comes to fashion and it’s clear that he always dresses with the “Stylin’ and profilin’” mentality."

The Chiefs were happy to provide a couple of examples of Kelce’s own stellar looks. That’s not surprising that they have a likely catalog of photos from which to select given that every time we see the All-Pro tight end, he’s sporting some memorable look coming off of the team bus or private plane.

Kelce is just one of numerous NFL stars to be included in the piece. Von Miller, DeAndre Hopkins, Jamal Adams, Russ Wilson, Tyrod Taylor, and Malcolm Jenkins are all among the NFL’s best dressed.

Kelce had 103 catches for 1,336 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns last season for the Chiefs. He also made his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl in 2018.
