Various Kansas City Chiefs players spoke out or posted on social media when they heard the news that Tyreek Hill would not miss any time at all this season due to suspension.

The Kansas City Chiefs are at full strength heading into training camp with the word that the National Football League would not suspend wide receiver Tyreek Hill after investigating claims of child abuse and child neglect at his home.

Authorities had already come up short earlier this offseason with the announcement of an open and shut investigation. However, family court remained present and active with both Hill and his longtime girlfriend/fiancee Crystal Espinal and their three-year old son, whose reported broken arm brought all of this into the limelight in the first place.

The news that Hill would not receive a suspension, as announced by the league on Friday, took everyone by surprise. While rumors were circulating that any suspension would be shorter than originally anticipated over the previous months and weeks, it was hard to imagine the NFL allowing Hill to go unpunished for recorded verbal threats made public under the league’s personal conduct policy.

The idea that Hill will not have to serve any suspension at all, or even pay a fine for that matter, is good news for the Chiefs on the field. After last year’s historic offensive display, coming together at full strength after a full year together should only provide the same jaw-dropping fireworks and then some. After all, all parties involved, including Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce and more, will finally have some timing, chemistry and cohesion after 18 games played.

It’s not surprising, then, that a few Chiefs players expressed their own relief and joy at having Hill ready to roll from the outset of the season. In an interview with the Kansas City Star, Mahomes himself said he was happy.

"“In getting the news today, I’m happy that we get to welcome him back and just be there at training camp,” Mahomes said. “And we can work and build that chemistry for the season.”"

In an interview with SiriusXM NFL radio, Kelce discussed the importance of Hill to what the Chiefs try to do on offense.

As for the newest member of the roster, second round rookie receiver Mecole Hardman is going to get to learn from the man himself from the very beginning instead of being tasked from Week 1 to help make up for his absence.

Meanwhile, former Chiefs lineman Jeff Allen and former running back Larry Johnson reminded us all of a couple important truths in light of the entire affair.
