If you have almost $20 million to spend and a love of wine country, you can own former Chiefs owner Lamar Hunt’s home in Northern California.
Late Kansas City Chiefs owner Lamar Hunt’s Napa Valley vineyard ranch, currently owned by his wife, Norma Hunt, was put up for sale in recent days. As you might expect, the house is beautiful and the price is astronomical.
According to The Mercury News, the four-bedroom and four-bathroom home spans 6,615 square feet alongside 40 acres of ranch and vineyard. It is the first time Hunt’s ranch has been put up for sale.
Hunt’s home is located in Knights Valley, in Napa County, roughly 60 miles north of San Francisco and 65 miles west of Sacramento.
In the photos uploaded online, the most notable part of the house is that it has huge balcony with a wide doorway to go in and out of the home. The home has another balcony with an outdoor grill and sink. As for the inside of the mansion, Hunt’s home has a large wine cellar and a home-based gym.
Whoever is willing to spend $19.95 million to spend will get themselves a nice home with great surroundings, especially for someone looking to settle into wine country in style.
Hunt owned the Chiefs from 1959 through 2006 before he passed away at the age of 74 in December of 2006 due to complications related to prostate cancer. In addition to the Chiefs, Hunt owned the AFL, minor league and major league soccer teams in Dallas, Columbus and Kansas City.
The Chiefs announced earlier this week that they will introduce the Lamar Hunt Legacy Seat in honor of the team’s 60-year anniversary.
