The Kansas City Chiefs have come to terms with four of their six person draft haul, including second round pick Mecole Hardman.

The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they have come to terms with four of their six overall selections from the 2019 NFL Draft. The group includes all three Day 3 picks (rounds 4-7) and their first overall selection in second round wide receiver Mecole Hardman.

While terms of the deals were not disclosed at the time of the news release, the reality is that the deals are already preset due to a collective bargaining agreement that features a rookie slotting system. That way, we can essentially tell the parameters of each contract.

Hardman, who the Chiefs traded up five spots to get at No. 56 overall, is due to make $4.99 million over the next four years, per Spotrac estimates. That includes a signing bonus of over $1.6 million. He will have a cap hit for the current season at slightly less than $1 million, but thanks to the trade up, Hardman will make an additional $350,000 if he plays out his full rookie deal of four seasons.

Three other draft picks also agreed to terms with the Chiefs. Sixth round picks Rashad Fenton, a cornerback out of South Carolina, and Darwin Thompson, a running back out of Utah State. Per Spotrac, Fenton is due to make just over $2.6 million over the next four years and will count $520K against the 2019 cap. Thompson will make about $15,000 less overall than Fenton in that same span of time and his cap hit is $516K.

Nick Allegretti was the Chiefs final selection near the beginning of the seventh round. The offensive lineman out of Illinois is scheduled to make right at $2.6 million over the life of his four-year deal.

The announcement leaves the Chiefs with two unsigned draft picks in safety Juan Thornhill, taken in the late second round at No. 63 overall, and defensive tackle Khalen Saunders, taken in the third round at No. 84.
