The Kansas City Chiefs spent time with North Carolina linebacker Cole Holcomb last week, a defender also earning interest from several teams.

The parade of pre-draft visits continue for every NFL franchise as they prepare for the upcoming draft at month’s end. These days, many of the visits are about finding the right prospects to invite to rookie minicamp after the draft is over as priority free agents who will likely go undrafted.

Word of the Kansas City Chiefs most recent visit comes via Tom Pelissero who reported on Tuesday that North Carolina linebacker Cole Holcomb has been making the rounds for teams. He reportedly visited with the Chiefs last week and has several other teams interested in his potential at the pro level.

Check out Pelissero’s report below:

The Chiefs have remade much of their linebacking corps since Brett Veach was first named general manager two years ago. The Chiefs have traded for Reggie Ragland, drafted Dorian O’Daniel, signed Damien Wilson, Jeremiah Attaochu, and Anthony Hitchens. They also unearthed Ben Niemann as a rookie free agent. Despite the number of new players around, there’s clearly room for better overall talent among the group, so it wouldn’t surprise anyone to see Veach add competition via the draft.

Holcomb had 104 total tackles for the Tar Heels in 2018, eight of those for a loss. He also had 4 passed defended.
