Continuing our series on our draft wish list, we discuss the potential of adding more firepower to the offense. Andy Isabella is a name to consider.

Despite the Kansas City Chiefs obvious need on the defensive side of the ball, there are a few offensive positions that could be improved through the draft. For a team that is trying to remain on top of the league in offensive production, the Chiefs could always welcome new play makers. Because the team has two second round picks, they should consider using one on a wide receiver. If available, wide receiver Andy Isabella makes a lot of sense for the Chiefs electric offense.

With an offense that already features one of the most explosive receivers in the league, Isabella is a great insurance policy. Additionally, he makes an incredible weapon in the slot. While the UMass product thinks of himself as a guy that can play on the outside, I think the consensus view is that he is a slot receiver. For a team like Kansas City, a slot guy would make a lot of sense.

If the Chiefs address their defense throughout free agency, I can’t imagine a scenario in which Kansas City is not looking for more offense in the draft. While I think that the Chiefs will look for offensive linemen and tight ends in this class to build their offense initially, if a good wide receiver available, I would not be surprised to see them take him.
