Aaron Murray led the Atlanta Legends to their second win this week but he was not the only former Chief with an outstanding performance.

The Alliance Of American Football is halfway through its first season, and numerous former Kansas City Chiefs players have been making their mark every single week.

This past week—Week 5 in the AAF—was no exception as there were four former Chiefs represented on Pro Football Focus Team of the Week, one on offense and three on defense.

More from Arrowhead Addict

There were a couple of former Chiefs that didn’t make the list that also had fantastic weeks and both happen to be teammates. Quarterback Aaron Murray led the Atlanta Legends to their second win in a row in his first start by completing 27 of 43 passes for 306 yards and a touchdown.

Former Kansas City wide receiver Sentavius Jones was the primary target throughout the afternoon and ended the day with five receptions for 89 yards.

With a second win under his belt, Murray may have taken the job as starting quarterback from Matt Simms. Hopefully, for Murray, he will continue to have success against his next opponent the San Antonio Commanders. Now, onto our Team of the Week winners!

Keith Reaser, CB, Orlando Apollos

Most of you probably do not follow me on Twitter, which is fine, but you are missing out on the biggest fan account of former Kansas City cornerback Keith Reaser. Reaser had another outstanding week as he added another pick-6 to his resume. His performance helped  Orlando continue its way through its undefeated season.

Reaser graded out at 96.2 by PFF this week and has been the highest graded player for the entire AAF so far this season. If he continues at his current pace, he could end up being the league MVP by the end of the season.

The Chiefs may have signed Tyrann Mathieu yesterday, but they cannot forget to bring Reaser back into the fold as soon as the AAF’s season has come to a close.

De’Vante Bausby, CB, San Antonio Commanders

Another Chiefs cornerback made a list this week? That’s right folks. Kansas City locked down both spots this week as De’Vante Bausby recorded an interception and a pass breakup to go along with the 0.0 passer rating he allowed this week.

Bausby’s performance had his best performance of the year so far. While Bausby likely won’t make his comeback to the Chiefs anytime soon, he is showing teams that he belongs in the NFL somewhere.

Mike Purcell, DL, Salt Lake City Stallions

Mike Purcell started hot this season, making the Team of the Week during the first week of the season. He cooled off a bit until Week 5 where he had two tackles and pressured the quarterback six times. His performance earned him a 90.8 overall grade from PFF and a spot on the Team of the Week for a second time this season. Purcell’s team may not be having as much success as he is right now, but there is no questioning his effort that he is putting in every week for his team.

Rashad Ross, WR, Arizona Hotshots

Rashad Ross has been on fire ever since the season began. Ross is arguably the best wide receiver in the AAF, and it would be hard to argue otherwise after his performance this past weekend. Ross brought in five catches for a whopping 106 yards and a league-leading sixth touchdown in the Hotshots loss this week. His performance also earned him an 80.6 overall grade from PFF.

Next. Film Room: Tyrann Mathieu joins the Chiefs. dark

Ross may have been a Chief back in 2013, but he is playing as he belongs on someone’s NFL roster right now. It will be interesting to see where he ends up after the AAF’s season has concluded.
