Following a record-setting MVP season and leading the Kansas City Chiefs to an AFC Championship game, Patrick Mahomes’ next stop should be the JRE Podcast.
When Kansas City Chiefs fans look back at the 2018 season, the biggest thing that will stick out is the Patrick Mahomes sensation, Mahomes Mania, the Mahomes train, whatever you want to call it.
In addition to his phenomenal season of 50 touchdown passes and 5,000 passing yards, which led to earning MVP honors from just about every media outlet, every Mahomes related event became a story.
Whether it was losing in Fornite to a fan wearing his jersey, his obsession with ketchup, hanging out with celebrities at Super Bowl week, or playing a pickup basketball game with fans, everything involving Mahomes is a big story, and fans love it.

But perhaps we can learn more about Mahomes on a personal level, or enjoy hearing some of his football-related stories that he has not shared before. The perfect spot for that would be the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast, hosted by former Fear Factor host and current UFC commentator and comedian Joe Rogan.
Rogan has had a plethora of guests, discussing a wide variety of topics, ranging from news, sports, politics, entertainment, and history, to name a few.
Although Rogan is a UFC announcer, he hardly discusses sports nor has many sports-related guests outside of combat sports athletes on his show. Rogan’s had a couple of former NFL players, such as former Texans running back Arian Foster and former 49ers linebacker Jason Hairston.
Rogan could touch on a lot of topics with Mahomes, such as he and his dad both playing sports at the professional level, his athletic ability throwing deep passes and side arms, his record-setting MVP season, plus any other topics that come up about Mahomes’ interests or personal life that he would be willing to share on the podcast.
The JRE podcast episodes generally last multiple hours, which is lengthy, but given how excited Chiefs fans are about every Mahomes story in the media, surely Chiefs fans would tune in and catch the entirety of this episode—as would several non-Chiefs fans.
As mentioned earlier, Rogan doesn’t have many sports-related guests on his podcast, outside of UFC fighters and boxers. But Rogan could have an intriguing conversation with Mahomes and dive into topics that would interest Chiefs fans, football fans, and even non-sports fans.
