How does Paddy Fisher fit with the Kansas City Chiefs?

The quick answer to this question is easy: Paddy Fisher would take over for Reggie Ragland. Despite Ragland’s reputation for being well-liked and respected in the Chiefs locker room, he has failed to be as productive on the field as many had hoped. It will be important to see how Fisher tests at the combine, but on film, Fisher does look faster and overall more fluid than Ragland.

If Paddy Fisher declares this year, the Chiefs may snag him and let him learn behind Ragland and Hitchens for a year before asking him to take on any starting duties.

Overall, I will be rooting for Fisher wherever he lands, but I would love to see this young man don the Red and Gold. Fisher reminds me of former Rams linebacker James Laurinaitis. Fisher is a football player at heart who could very well end up being the leader of the Chiefs defense for years to come.

All else considered, the last time the Chiefs took an inside linebacker from the state of Texas in the first round, it turned out pretty well for them.
