Sammy Watkins is back in the fold at practice and looks like he might be on his way back to playing with the offense once again.

After being inactive for the past two games, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins returned to practice on Wednesday. Watkins has been dealing with a foot injury that has kept him sidelined for the previous two games. Although they’re still treating it gingerly, Watkins was able to return to practice today and practice, albeit as a limited participant.

Along with Watkins, Chiefs star safety Eric Berry, who has yet to play in a game this season, was also a limited participant. Last week saw Berry’s return to practice, who hadn’t done so since August 11th. Much like last week, Berry likely won’t play against the Ravens, with his likely debut coming against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Thursday Night Football matchup a crucial game as the division rival continues to nip on the heels of the Chiefs in the playoff race.

Considered somewhat of a rarity this late in the season of a team in the National Football League, the Chiefs had all of its players practice on Wednesday. The two other names on the injury report were inside linebacker Anthony Hitchens and tight end Demetrius Harris. Hitchens, who has been dealing with a rib injury for the past few weeks, was a full participant in practice. He had a minor quad injury in Sunday’s win against the Oakland Raiders, but it didn’t appear to slow him down any, if at all. Harris was listed with a knee injury, but it was not reported by head coach Andy Reid nor the team until the injury report was released. Harris was a full participant today.

As for the club’s opponent, the Ravens have a plethora of injuries both on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. For the nonparticipants, there were eight Ravens who did not practice. Wide receiver Michael Crabtree, cornerback Marlon Humphrey (Groin), safety Tony Jefferson (Ankle), defensive back/linebacker Anthony Levine Sr. (Ankle), guard Alex Lewis (Shoulder), cornerback Tavon Young (Groin), safety Eric Weddle, and guard Marshal Yanda all did not practice on Wednesday. Crabtree, Weddle, and Yanda’s reasons for not practicing were not injury related.
