TMZ releases video of Kareem Hunt shoving, kicking woman

Video of an offseason incident involving Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt and a physical altercation with a woman has come to light via TMZ on Friday.
Earlier this offseason, Kareem Hunt and another woman filed cross-complaints accusing one another of assault after a physical altercation broke out in Cleveland, Ohio. On Friday, TMZ released a video obtained by the website that shows at least some aspects of the dispute.
At the time of the alleged assault, Hunt was accused of “punching and shoving” a woman, then 19-years-old, named Abigail Ottinger. However, Hunt responded by accusing her of being the one who assaulted him and his friends.
The video clearly shows Hunt shoving and later kicking the woman on camera footage obtained and released by TMZ Sports. The initial dispute took place back in February and police never filed charges on anyone involved in the incident.
No matter what happens legally, the National Football League will undoubtedly take such matters into their own hands. The Chiefs have yet to make any comments publicly on the matter, but some statement from the team (and perhaps action) should also be expected. For now, it’s likely a time for fact gathering before any further action will be taken—such as potential fine and suspension of Hunt.
It should be noted that Hunt was also involved in a separate incident in June at a resort in Ohio where he allegedly punched a man. A verbal altercation broke out into a physical fight involving Hunt, although again, no charges were filed by police.
We will report further details as any statements are made or actions are taken by the persons involved, the NFL, the Chiefs or Hunt himself.
