The Kansas City Chiefs travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns. Here’s everything you need to know to prepare for the Sunday afternoon showdown.
One franchise is a model of stability and success. The other has been the Cleveland Browns.
As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare to face the Browns on Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, the Chiefs will find themselves facing a team in turmoil. The Browns recently fired Hue Jackson and Todd Haley in a complete overhaul of the coaching staff, particularly on the offensive side. Gregg Williams of Bountygate fame in New Orleans has taken over as head coach, so it’s hard to say exactly what the Chiefs will see in response.
That said, the Browns are a two-win team on the surface but the metrics show that this is a team on the rise. A bright young defense has impact players already in place at every level, and the Chiefs will undoubtedly have some trouble with Myles Garrett up front and Denzel Ward in the secondary. In addition, the Browns definitely have big-play potential at the most important position in Baker Mayfield, the former No. 1 overall pick in last spring’s draft.
Just how tough with the Browns prove to be? Is this a trap game at all for K.C.? To get you fully prepared for Sunday’s game, we’ve got plenty of relevant information here:
