Kansas City Chiefs outside linebacker Dee Ford has had a phenomenal season coming off his best game, and there is a chance he can add to that on Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs defense has not been consistent. They rank second to last in total defense while also being near the bottom against the pass and against the run. Despite those struggles, the Chiefs still have some defensive playmakers. One of them being outside linebacker Dee Ford.

Ford currently leads the team with eight sacks. He is coming off a three-sack game against the Denver Broncos, his first multi-sack game of the season. With his eight sacks, he currently needs two more to tie his single-season high of 10 from 2016.

Ford is tied second with five other players in sacks, two behind league-leader Aaron Donald (10), defensive tackle of the Los Angeles Rams. He also co-leads the league with three others for most forced fumbles with four.

Ford has a great chance to increase those numbers this Sunday.

When the Chiefs visit the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Ford will go up against Browns right tackle Chris Hubbard, who has not had a very good season. According to Stats, Hubbard has allowed 8.5 sacks, which has pushed the Browns back nearly 70 yards. Pro Football Focus ranks Ford second among edge defenders in the league while Hubbard is 40th out of all offensive tackles.

Browns rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield has been sacked 20 times and is already tied 10th for most sacks taken this season, despite not playing the first two games this season. The 20 sacks include three consecutive games, from Weeks 5 through 7, where Mayfield was sacked five times in each game.

With Ford coming off a multi-sack game, he currently has the hot hand and can carry that over against a struggling Browns team that has not been able to keep defenders away from Mayfield.
