Can the Kansas City Chiefs continue their hot streak against the best overall defense in the National Football League on Sunday?

The Kansas Chiefs had to show what they were made of against the Denver Broncos and they proved to be a team who can handle adversity. A ten point comeback in the fourth quarter on the road shows how they can battle back, and now they are the only undefeated team in the AFC.

What does this week against the Jaguars bring their way? Well, the Jaguars have one of the best defenses in the league. They like to be stingy with both points and yards. Can Patrick Mahomes and company come home to Arrowhead, put on a show, and lead the team to a nice 5-0 start to the 2018 season? Here are the Arrowhead Addict predictions.

The AA staff average score: Chiefs 25.7, Jaguars 23.1

This game is going to be awesome. Unless it’s terrible. It’s strength vs. strength/weakness vs. weakness, and at this point in NFL history, I’ll take the team with the overwhelming offense and potentially world-consuming quarterback. I’m nervous, but I think Mahomes and Co. are going to make the most of the few mistakes the Jaguars give them. Chiefs 23, Jaguars 17

Drew Brooks
The Jaguars defense is the toughest test for Mahomes and the Chiefs, but I think the Chiefs will still come out on top. Despite the Chiefs defensive struggles, I don’t have any confidence in Blake Bortles to put up many points against the Chiefs, especially not at Arrowhead. The Chiefs might start slowly, but I think they will have a great second half like they did in Denver last week. Chiefs 30, Jaguars 14

As we all know, the Jacksonville Jaguars have the No. 1 defense so far this season. Even though they’re No. 1 in passing and rushing YPG, the Jags will have their work cut out for them even if they force a running game like the Broncos did. If Mahomes can keep the composure he had the last week with the Broncos, but maybe kick it up a little notch and could pull this off, but I think this game will be the Chiefs first loss by a sliver. Jaguars 24, Chiefs 20

Matt Conner
Sammy Watkins is injured. The Broncos put on a clinic against Tyreek Hill. Jacksonville’s front line is much better suited to contain a QB like Patrick Mahomes. This is as tough as the schedule gets (including Rams and Pats in my opinion), and I think the Chiefs streak comes to an unfortunate end here. Jaguars 13, Chiefs 10

Jalon Dodson
Tough game no doubt, and I think it may be one we actually lose. I won’t count against Mahomes magic just yet, though. Tyreek Hill will show Jalen Ramsey who’s boss. Chiefs 31, Jaguars 17

Lyle Graversen
The Chiefs are coming off a really hard-fought win on Monday Night Football against the Broncos. While Patrick Mahomes’ late game heroics were the stuff of legend, the Chiefs did come away from the game beat up with several key guys banged up. Now they have to take on the most physical defense on their schedule on a short week. I hope I’m wrong (cause I’ll be at the game) but I think the Jaguars squeak out a close game and give KC their first loss of the season. Jaguars 20, Chiefs 17

Jacob Harris
Mahomes throws his first interception, but it doesn’t matter as he also throws three TDs. The Jags’ defense follows the Broncos’ blueprint of heavy pressure, but after dealing with it last week Mahomes handles it better this time around. The Chiefs stay undefeated and head into Mahomes’ first battle with Tom Brady with a lot of confidence. Chiefs 28, Jaguars 21

Kody Latham
It is strength vs strength this week when the Chiefs face off against the Jaguars. The Broncos seem to have laid out a blueprint to slow down the offense and the Jaguars defense is sure to take advantage of that. I think Mahomes throws his first pick this against the Jags and endures his first loss. Jaguars 28, Chiefs 21

Matthew Loomis
The Chiefs have one less day to game plan and recover thanks to last Monday. Forget about defense this game. This is going to be a shootout similar to the Jaguars vs. Steelers playoff game last year. The Chiefs defense will make Bortles look better than he really is. Jaguars 48, Chiefs 35

Jordan Mannix
The Chiefs face an even stiffer test against the jaguars on Sunday. Lucky for them, this game is at arrowhead. The home crowd and the likely return of Sammy Watkins should allow this offense to fare better than it did Monday night. The offense and defense should do just enough to beat the Jags Chiefs 27, Jaguars 24

Brandon Norris
The Chiefs faced struggled against the Broncos last week, but found a way to come out with the win, despite penalties, injuries, and a slew of missed tackles. They make some change this week and light up the Jaguars at Arrowhead. The Jaguars defense keeps them in the fight, but Mahomes and the Chiefs weapons just become too much. Mahomes gets back to their beginning season form and puts up 4 touchdowns. Chiefs 34, Jaguars 23

Travis Steffen
I think the Jaguars defense poses the biggest threat and competition the Chiefs will see all season. If they continue to play defense like the past few weeks and Sammy Watkins is healthy, Kansas City can eat them up in the underneath routes. Jacksonville plays a lot of off man coverage. Blake Bortles won’t be able to put up big numbers even against the worst defense in the league without Leonard Fournette. Chiefs 24, Jaguars 20

Rylan Stiles
Arrowhead is rocking like never before, especially for a non prime time game, but the Chiefs lose this one and Mahomes throws his first pick. Jaguars 28, Chiefs 24

Ellen Tolsma
The Chiefs are back at Arrowhead to take on “Sacksonville.” This will be the toughest test yet where the explosive offense takes on one of the leagues best defenses. I anticipate the Chiefs take this game due to crowd noise, explosive plays from Tyreek and Hunt, and a pass from Mahomes that leaves our jaws on the floor. The defense struggles, but does enough to seal walk away with the victory. Chiefs 31, Jaguars 28

Grant Tuttle
After watching the tape, I know this Jaguars defense is for real. While they have not played an offense like Kansas City’s it will be a tough task for Patrick Mahomes. With the defense playing slightly better in the past two weeks, and the Chiefs playing at home, I think the Chiefs will squeak by the Jaguars number one defense. Travis Kelce has two touchdowns. Chiefs 28, Jaguars 27

Farzin Vousoughian
The Chiefs have their two biggest games of the season coming up against teams that played in the AFC title game. The Jaguars employ the league’s best defense. I think Andy Reid can use his creativity, sometimes he goes overboard, but the Chiefs offense will have an up-and-down game. The front seven, more so Dee Ford, will make the biggest difference. Chiefs 24, Jaguars 13

Thomas Welte
Chiefs looked human on Monday Night against an incomplete Denver defense. The Jaguars show up and rough up the Chiefs offense most of the game, with Mahomes gritting out some tough points to keep it somewhat competitive. Jaguars defense gets the best of Mahomes though and Jacksonville heads home with a 4-1 record. Jaguars 31, Chiefs 24

Mason Whitlock
Chiefs at home, against a Jags offense that’s missing Leonard Fournette. The Jags defense is another test for Mahomes. I expect him to pass with an A. Kareem Hunt got going last week as well, which will help a lot. Chiefs keep rolling at home. Chiefs 30, Jaguars 13

Britt Zank
That Jacksonville Jaguars will bring the best defense in the NFL into Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday. Threw five games of his NFL career Patrick Mahomes has passed every test put in front of him and this test will be no different. Much like the Denver game, this game will be ugly for most of the game, but the defense will once again be good enough and Mahomes will do Mahomes things and with the help of Arrowhead the Chiefs get the W. Chiefs 27, Jaguars 20
