Offensive Line

(9) Make: Eric Fisher / Cameron Erving / Mitch Morse / Laurent Duvernay-Tardif / Mitchell Schwartz / Jordan Devey / Parker Ehinger / Bryan Witzmann / Kahlil McKenzie

(6) Miss: Ryan Hunter / Bentley Spain / Jimmy Murray / Andrew Wylie / Dillon Gordon / Jack Allen / Tejan Koroma (IR)

Eric Fisher, Mitchell Schwartz, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, Mitch Morse, Cameron Erving, Parker Ehinger and Kahlil McKenzie are pretty much locks for the 53-man roster. Which leaves only 1 to 2 spots left for remaining offensive line players as Reid has always kept 8 to 9 guys at that position.

Bryan Witzmann’s extension was one of the first moves Brett Veach made in 2017 after becoming GM, and he then re-signed Jordan Devey this off-season. While these two aren’t necessarily certain to make the roster, I believe they have the best shot over any of the rest because of experience alone.

Defensive  Tackle

(2) Make: Derrick Nnadi / Xavier Williams

(5) Miss: Mike Purcell / Ty McGill / Stefan Charles / Justin Hamilton / Dee Liner

Derrick Nnadi and Xavier Williams pretty much solidify the defensive tackle position. Nnadi in his first year out of Florida State will add a nastiness and solid run stopper in the middle that’s been missing since Dontari Poe was here. Williams is in his fourth season in the league but his first with the Chiefs. Williams is originally from Kansas City, Missouri so, you can imagine what playing here means to him. These two here are going to be nice addition to plug the middle.

There is a possibility one of these other guys could find a way on the roster. They could be used as a third DT or maybe even as a versatile player along the line, but none of them will keep Nnadi or Williams from having to worry about making the final 53 cut.

Defensive End

(3) Make: Chris Jones / Allen Bailey / Jarvis Jenkins

(0) Miss: N/A

Chris Jones is well Chris Jones—loved by all, his personality is one of a kind. His play is also dominant and he’s only getting better. Allen Bailey is an underrated piece to our edge that gets overlooked. His ability to help set an edge and stop the run is very good. Jarvis Jenkins has continued to be a nice rotational guy for us at DE & DT when needed since joining the Chiefs mid-season in 2016. There is a small chance that one of the tackles or outside linebackers gets used as a DE and takes Jenkins spot, but I wouldn’t personally count on it.
