#2 EDGE

1. Melvin Ingram, Los Angeles Chargers

Ingram teamed up with Joey Bosa is the scariest pass-rushing duo in the NFL in my opinion. Ingram is a great complimentary player to Bosa’s style of play. Ingram moves relatively well for his size. With incredible athleticism and a very strong motor, Ingram is another great pass-rusher. The Chargers are on of the only teams in football that Ingram would not be the best at sacking the Quarterback on the squad.

2016-2017:

56 tackles,10.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 pass defensed, 0 interception

Prediction:

50 tackles, 9 sacks, 0 forced fumbles, 1 pass defensed, 0 interceptions

2. Bradley Chubb, Denver Broncos

Bradley Chubb was the highest rated player on my 2018 draft board. Imagine my disappointment when the Broncos drafted him. He has the potential to be one of the league’s best pass-rushers and in his rookie year, I expect good things. Chubb’s performance will be key to the Broncos continued successes. If he can consistently deliver pressure, look out. Von Miller and Bradley Chubb may make the Broncos a top pass-rushing team in the NFL.

2016-2017: (0 games) Rookie

N/A

Prediction:

47 tackles, 8.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 0 passes defensed, 0 interceptions

3. Dee Ford, Kansas City Chiefs

Dee Ford is a bit of a question mark. The Chiefs have confidence in him and he has flashed pass-rush ability in the past. However, he has struggled in the run game and has had trouble staying healthy during the season. Ford has excellent speed off of the edge, but will need to improve on his arsenal of pass-rush moves if he wants to be a dominant player.

2016-2017: (6 games)

13 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 pass defensed, 0 interceptions

Prediction:

38 tackles, 9 sacks, 0 forced fumbles, 0 passes defensed, 0 interceptions

4. Bruce Irvin, Oakland Raiders

Irvin came into Oakland in 2016 and has done an admirable job. As a solid tackler and technically sound player, he brings some stability to the Oakland Raiders struggling defense. I believe that Irvin could be a solid player again this season. The team is hopeful that the 30 year-old can come through and be a steady contributor against the passing game across from all-star Khalil Mack.

2016-2017:

58 tackles, 8 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 3 passes defensed, 0 interceptions

Prediction:

44 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 1 forced fumbles, 2 passes defensed, 0 interceptions
