The Kansas City Chiefs don’t have a lot of money, but they could still definitely make a move or two and be okay. Here are a few free agents who could still step in and help.

The Kansas City Chiefs, like most teams at this point of the summer, are largely done making roster moves.

The long offseason has allowed general manager Brett Veach plenty of time and opportunity to make the roster in his image after inheriting the team from John Dorsey 12 months ago. He’s signed free agents to major deals, drafted his first class, picked up players off of the waiver wire and made very significant trades that turned heads. Now it’s all about allowing that group to come together and grow.

But just because we’re already into training camp doesn’t mean that good or even very good players aren’t still out there waiting for a team to call them for one reason or another. Maybe some teams are playing hardball. Maybe there’s even collusion at a certain position. Maybe other teams are waiting for prices to drop or injuries to occur. No matter the reason, there are still several players worth mentioning waiting on the open market.

The Chiefs only have $8.2 million in cap space so it’s not as if they can break the bank for any player. That said, at this point in the offseason most players aren’t expecting to break the bank. Most of them are likely just ready for the opportunity to play.

Here’s a rundown of some free agents we think could work well with the Chiefs as currently constructed.
