Last year’s running back situation was a surprise. When Spencer Ware went down, we all wondered what was going to happen with Kareem Hunt, Charcandrick West, Akeem Hunt and, let’s not forget, C.J. Spiller. (Will we sign him again?) This year, the running back situation has me excited.

Entering training camp, I’ve lost track of the number of running backs on our roster. Will Kareem Hunt reign supreme again or is Spencer Ware going to come back with a fury and give him a run for his money (pun intended)? I want to see if Spencer Ware is back to form. Videos have surfaced showing him looking good, but it’s one thing to run in the sand, and another to enter a game.

I’m also really interested in the backup situation. Charcandrick West, the trio of Williams (Damien, Darrel, and Kerwynn), and the rumblings of the Chiefs working out additional running backs. What does this all mean? Maybe training camp will provide some answers to the Chiefs’ seemingly loaded backfield. [Ellen Tolsma]
