Bennie Logan is drawing some interest in the free agent market from the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins so far.

The Kansas City Chiefs have unofficially decided to move on from defensive tackle Bennie Logan after a single season of employing the former Philadelphia Eagle. That much is able to be read in the tea leaves of NFL free agency seeing as how the Chiefs have made no overture toward the veteran and have actually expressed interest in others on the open market.

For the Chiefs, they might have stopped the bleeding along the line with the addition of former Arizona Cardinals lineman Xavier Williams earlier this week. Williams gives them another big body to put next to Chris Jones, Allen Bailey, Jarvis Jenkins and a few developmental players.

Logan came to the Chiefs last offseason to replace the departing Dontari Poe, who landed with the Atlanta Falcons on a one-year contract. Logan played on just over 50 percent of the Chiefs defensive snaps and provided a solid presence in the middle, yet his play clearly didn’t inspire a further commitment from the Chiefs who have checked out other options like Star Lotulelei in free agency.

Logan knows the NFC East well after years in Philly, so it’s not a surprise to see the Washington Redskins express some level of interest in bringing him in. They’ve also been attached to numerous other free agent defensive linemen. As John Keim of ESPN notes, there’s no visit scheduled to Washington.

The official action is with the Seattle Seahawks who are bringing in Logan for a visit, per Field Yates.

Logan had 52 total tackles for the Chiefs last year in 12 starts (15 games overall). He had 1.5 sacks and 1 pass defended.
