We had a fantastic guest on Wednesday’s show when Matt Miller from Bleacher Report joined us to talk about the draft, the Senior Bowl and the Chiefs.
The
is well under way and teams across the National Football League have their scouts in attendance. The Kansas City Chiefs have focused heavily on drafting guys that played in the Senior Bowl ever since John Dorsey took over. Granted he isn’t the one calling the shots anymore in Kansas City, but today’s podcast guest,
Matt Miller from Bleacher Report
, had some insight into what he believes Brett Veach will look at.
With the Senior Bowl having played such a prominent role for the Chiefs, watching the players becomes an even more important task. Several players stand out in each and every practice and there are many places to get that information. Matt Miller is one great source of information as are some other great draft follows in Jon Ledyard, Joe Marino, Kyle Crabbs, and Eric Galko among others.

The Chiefs also had multiple players selected to the Pro Bowl but it appears only three are going. Alex Smith, Tyreek Hill and Kareem Hunt will represent the Chiefs this season. Tight end Travis Kelce was also selected but elected not to play because of his concussion. Hill is going as a returner and not a wide receiver though I’m sure he’ll get a few plays. This could be the last time that we see Alex Smith don a Chiefs helmet as well. It’s still currently the best bet that he will be with another team next year. If that is truly the case, I wish him the best and thank him for his service for the Chiefs.
