The Miami Dolphins injury report shows that several players on both sides of the ball are ailing as the team enters Week 16 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Both the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins have plenty of players on injured reserve, just like any other NFL franchise this late in a given season, but comparisons between the two teams aren’t even fair. Miami would likely win against nearly any NFL team at this stage, and even their weekly injury report reads far worse than Kansas City’s.

For the Chiefs, only Justin Houston, the team’s best defensive player and pass rusher, was listed as questionable, and even then Andy Reid said that he and others who have been dealing with an illness this week making its rounds on the roster would be ready to play on Sunday. On the other hand, the Dolphins are dealing with several injured players.

Here’s a rundown of injured Dolphins

More from Arrowhead Addict

Wide receiver DeVante Parker is getting better and should play after missing practice this week with an ankle injury. Parker certainly isn’t the fearsome wideout the Fins hoped they would have at this point after taking him in the first round in 2015, but he just had his best week in 2017 last week against the Buffalo Bills with 6 catches for 89 yards, so perhaps he’s starting to put some things together late.

T.J. McDonald is an important safety creating a nice tandem with Reshad Jones, a Pro Bowl performer, but McDonald is questionable with a shoulder injury. In just six starts this year, after a long suspension to start the year, McDonald has 35 tackles and 1 interception.

Back-up quarterback Matt Moore has been listed as doubtful, which means if anything happens to Jay Cutler, the Chiefs would be facing David Fales at quarterback. That’s not a situation anyone outside of Arrowhead wants to see.

  • Another injury in the secondary has kept Cordrea Tankersley, a third round rookie out of Clemson, has missed the last couple games. He’s questionable to play on Sunday and is still looking for his first interception on the year in 10 starts, although he does have 7 passes defended.
  • The Jay Ajayi trade to the Eagles opened up space for both Kenyan Drake and Damien Williams to carry the load, but Williams has remained injured for some time—the wrong time for him to miss this key opportunity. Drake looks good by himself as the featured back, and Williams, once again, remains doubtful for this game.
