Earlier on Wednesday, Tamba Hali was confirmed by multiple sources to be returning to Chiefs practice. Andy Reid says, “Wait a minute!”
For fans who have been waiting a long time for Tamba Hali to return to the Kansas City Chiefs after starting the season on the Physically Unable to Play list, you might have to wait a little longer to see the longtime pass rusher. After all, members of the media have apparently received mixed messages about whether or not Hali was even available.
Early on Wednesday, word came from popular NFL analyst Adam Schefter that the Chiefs were in the process of adding Hali to the roster after forcing him to spend the first half of the year on the PUP list.
Chiefs are removing LB Tamba Hali (knee) off the PUP list and he will begin practicing today, per source.

From there, Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star only further confirmed the news.
Also Tamba Hali is coming off thr PUP list and will return to practice today, a source confirms. @AdamSchefter had that first

Yet a couple hours later, Andy Reid took to the microphone to say what he knew and Tamba Hali wasn’t a part of it. Instead of confirming the news, Reid responded negatively
No Tamba Hali at Chiefs practice today. He was at the facility, though - I did see him walking into the locker room. Fascinating

"I'm not sure what's exactly going on, but when I walked out here he was not practicing." - #Chiefs Andy Reid on Tamba Hali.

Whether or not Hali is able to practice soon or not, we will hopefully get word from the team soon enough on what specifically is going on. Any timeline that brings Hali back fairly soon is a good timeline considering the Chiefs could use any and all pass rushing help with Dee Ford’s back injury.
We will keep you posted on any further developments as we hear them.
