We take a look at what the Chiefs need to change to be able to get a win on Sunday against the Cowboys.

Kansas City had the day off as they normally do on Tuesday’s. Reid spoke to the media but there were no updates on injuries. The players will be back to work preparing for the Cowboys tomorrow. One big factor in the Chiefs favor on Sunday is that the Cowboys will be without star running back Ezekiel Elliott. His suspension starts immediately and he will not be able to play again until December.

The Chiefs have several injuries to worry about headed into the Dallas game. Will Albert Wilson be able to play after missing the second half? Can Dee Ford return after his back tightened up again against the Broncos? Luckily for Kansas City they have a bye week coming soon. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif could play this week or Kansas City could choose to give him two more weeks to be ready. Dallas’ line isn’t near the force that Denver’s is so it’s possible they feel comfortable enough with Fulton at right guard. The biggest injury question mark for Kansas City remains an elusive Tamba Hali. He was spotted on the sideline during the game so he’s with the team but when he returns and if he returns is anyone’s guess at this point.

The Chiefs stayed pat at the trade deadline which given their new affinity to trading for players was a little surprising. There were several trades made that will affect the Chiefs moving forward but no big trades in the AFC West. In the coming seasons it appears will become more common place in the NFL which will be interesting to watch as players aren’t usually plug and play.
