We run through the match-up on Monday Night Football with Locked on Broncos host Cody Roark.

The Kansas City Chiefs had another day off on Tuesday with the long break before the Monday Night Football game at Arrowhead Stadium against Denver. Hopefully they are getting healthier on this mini-bye week before they play the Broncos. The Chiefs are in position to take over the division early if they can win on Monday night. If they win they will be 6-2 and the Broncos will have 4 losses including a loss to the Chiefs. This would effectively put them three games up in the division.

The rest of the division is playing away from home against the AFC East. The Chargers head to New England where I think they get another loss for the season. The Raiders head to Buffalo to face a team that beat the Broncos a couple weeks ago. The Bills certainly have the talent to beat Oakland and if that happens the Chiefs will have an even bigger lead in the AFC West.

Kansas City did move Steven Nelson to the list designated to return which is the first step to activating him. It’s possible he could play against the Broncos on Monday night but I don’t believe it’s likely. Regardless having him set to return against a better Cowboys passing attack is starting to get healthy at the right time. The Chiefs still will have a decision to make about Tamba Hali soon as his time on the PUP comes to an end. Hali will need to start practicing soon or put on Injured Reserve ending his season. At this point no one knows what is going on with Hali, but the Chiefs could use him.
