The fastest man in the NFL will earn a player some significant opportunities. Tyreek Hill is about to find out how many.

Few agents in the world of sports are more widely known than Drew Rosenhaus, so maybe it’s fitting that one of the most notable agents has hooked up with one of the NFL’s most notable young athletes to be his latest client. Tyreek Hill, the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, has officially inked with Rosenhaus’s team.

Hill burst onto the scene as a dynamic young rookie who recorded the two fastest times on the field last year in the NFL. He exploded in open space, creating mismatches with such incredible top speed, and found a way to the end zone whether as a running back, wide receiver or returner. In total, Hill had 12 touchdowns during his rookie season.

During the offseason, the Chiefs decided to have Hill focus almost exclusively on offense as their new deep threat at receiver. They let Jeremy Maclin walk in a surprising summer release to allow the offense to bloom with several young players who needed reps to reach their potential. It’s a list that also includes Chris Conley and DeMarcus Robinson, but none are as important or impactful as Hill.

It will be interesting to see the sorts of opportunities that come Hill’s way at this point. When a player is playing for the only undefeated team in the NFL and he’s the single fastest player around, it should equal some significant opps in marketing. That said, the Chiefs have often struggled to find a national footprint—when even Eric Berry’s incredible story fails to generate top tier jersey sales.

Here’s hoping Hill not only finds some great opportunities ahead but that he also helps the Chiefs tell the bigger story—that this team has plenty of inspiration and excitement with players worth following.
