The Kansas City Chiefs might not play until Monday night, but there’s still plenty of reason to watch (and comment) on today’s football games.

The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football this week, which means we’re mostly looking forward 24 hours to the most pertinent kickoff. However, that doesn’t mean that we’re completely disinterested in today’s slate of games. After all, the Chiefs are just one of several teams vying for supremacy in the AFC and today features several key matchups that will prove important in the final standings.

Here’s a list of the best games and why you should be tuned in today for Week 4 in the NFL.

Pittsburgh @ Baltimore – 12:00 p.m. C.T.
Another important divisional contest for the AFC North is also going to be very important for the Chiefs. The Ravens, who lead the NFL with 10 takeaways already, have a real chance to establish supremacy in the North and in the AFC overall with a victory here. The Steelers were already shocked just last week in a loss to the Chicago Bears. Two losses in a row would make everyone question what they think they know about Pittsburgh.

However, the same can be said of the Ravens last week, who were absolutely clobbered by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Both teams have looked great early only to find themselves upended in Week 3. Whoever comes out on top has the early track for the AFC North title.

Oakland @ Denver – 3:25 p.m. C.T.
This is an obvious choice to all of us, and not only because it pits two of the best overall teams in the NFL against each other. This is one of the biggest AFC West games on the calendar and it’s an important one for both sides.

The Raiders are coming off of a drubbing at the hands of the Washington Redskins. To lose again, especially to a divisional foe, would be to lose a ton of respect as well as ground in the standings. A road win for the Raiders would keep them everywhere they basically want to be and would help them rebound in a major way.

That said, for the Broncos this is a must-win at home if they want to win the AFC West. They are often relegated to third place in most predictions behind the Chiefs and Raiders, but the Broncos just won the Super Bowl two seasons ago, so they should be playing with a chip on their shoulder.
