The Kansas City Chiefs are the No. 1 ranked team according to Sports Illustrated in their latest NFL Power Rankings list.

If you ask the experts at Sports Illustrated, there’s no better team in the NFL than the Kansas City Chiefs. In their latest NFL Power Rankings, the Chiefs have reached the top spot after another impressive win in Week 2—this time over the visiting Philadelphia Eagles.

The Chiefs are now 2-0 after wins over the Eagles and the New England Patriots. The Eagles have high hopes for an NFC East title and could definitely make noise with such an impressive front seven led by Fletcher Cox and a burgeoning offense on the shoulders of Carson Wentz. The Pats, of course, were the defending Super Bowl champions, and a win over Bill Belichick and Tom Brady needs no further explanation.

Nine of the 16 voters at Sports Illustrated ended up putting the Chiefs on top, but they’re not without their doubters. One voter even put them in sixth place overall, which means the Chiefs still need to convince some that they are for real. A win this week might not get them much more credibility but losing to the winless Los Angeles Chargers will go a long way toward discrediting them.

Rounding out the rest of the top teams are the Atlanta Falcons, who are also 2-0 and made it all the way to the Super Bowl last year, the Patriots at No. 3 and the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 4. The Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos are No. 5 and 6, respectively. This means that, at least on this list, the AFC has five of the NFL’s six best teams, making the Chiefs’ journey to the postseason that much more difficult.
