The Chiefs have a couple players who are questionable to play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, including a starting safety.

Safety is already becoming a thin spot for the Kansas City Chiefs with the loss of Eric Berry for the entire season due to a ruptured Achilles tendon, but now Ron Parker has been listed as questionable on the injury report heading into Sunday’s contest against the visiting Philadelphia Eagles.

Parker joins linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis among those listed as questionable, but Parker is by far the biggest name on the list. Losing Parker for any reason would keep the Chiefs from employing their two veteran safety starters—a tandem that stands among the NFL’s stronger units. Behind them is a decent amount of depth, but no fan should feel comfortable if the starters become Dan Sorensen and Eric Murray.

Kevin Pierre-Louis came over from the Seattle Seahawks in a trade for D.J. Alexander in the preseason in a rare one-for-one positional swap. Pierre-Louis has performed well as a back-up as well as a special teams player, and the latter is where his loss would most likely be felt the most.

The Chiefs also have two players listed as doubtful, but both are also likely to be inactive on Sunday. Linebacker Reggie Ragland and offensive lineman Parker Ehinger are both working their way back from ACL surgeries. Both players will eventually play a part on the roster, but in the early weeks, they are both expected to sit out.

The Eagles will be missing Ronald Darby, their best defensive back, for the next few weeks and he’s officially listed as out on the injury report. Defensive tackle Destiny Vaeao is also out this week.
