We welcome back Seth Keysor of Arrowhead Pride to talk about the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots game on Thursday night.

Kansas City heads to New England tomorrow night to kickoff the NFL season. As of this writing they are 8.5 point underdogs to the defending NFL champions. That alone is enough to get the team ready to go for this game. This team is full of veterans and returned 43 of the 53 players on last years roster. The Chiefs can go in to win and New England and walk out Superbowl contenders with a win but they have to beat Belichick and Brady to do it.

On Tuesday Kansas City didn’t have any new injuries to report. The same players that were limited on Monday ended up being limited on Tuesday. Travis Kelce and Ron Parker lead the injury report. They are the biggest questions currently heading into New England on the injury front. One benefit that the Chiefs will have from playing in the first game of the year is an additional mini bye week. After they play on Thursday they will not play again for ten more days.

Kansas City has a big opportunity to show the rest of the NFL what kind of team they will be this season. The Chiefs haven’t had great start to the season a couple of time in Reid’s tenure. This game however, is by far the biggest they’ve had to start the season. It doesn’t get any bigger than the defending Superbowl champions on opening night. Andy Reid will have his hands full on Thursday but his ability to handle Belichick could pay big dividends for KC down the road.
