Chris Clark has a brand new final roster projection for the defense after the Chiefs third preseason game.

Earlier this week, staff writer Chris Clark gave us his fourth round of projections for the Kansas City Chiefs offense as he takes a guess for the team’s final 53-man roster. Today, as the team prepares for their fourth and final preseason game, Clark tackles the defense, taking a guess as to which players make the cut and which are left subject to waivers. Stay tuned for a full guess at the team’s practice squad as well.

Defensive Linemen

Allen Bailey – Starting defensive end that is looking back to true form before injury, great against the run and getting better rushing the passer.

Bennie Logan – Fantastic run stuffer that should be an upgrade over Dontari Poe. Also in a contract year so he will be very motivated.

Chris Jones – Second year guy that is going to give teams in the AFC West trouble for a very long time.

Tanoh Kpassagnon – Second round pick. Very raw. But also very versatile.

Rakeem Nunez-Roches – Fantastic preseason from RNR this year. I think he’s really ready to break out and push for playing time later in the season.

Roy Miller – Great run stuffer brought in to help Logan in the middle and on short yardage situations. Still getting into shape as he injured his Achilles late last season.

Jarvis Jenkins – This isn’t necessarily what I think is right but it makes sense with the guys they have. Jones may not be ready to start and Miller is still not ready either. Gives them additional depth.
