Chiefs Podcast: First-team shines, Mahomes moves up
Patrick Mahomes moves up and the first-team offense and defense shines in the Chiefs’ first preseason contest.
On Sunday’s episode of Roughing the Kicker, a Kansas City Chiefs podcast here on Arrowhead Addict, Joshua Brisco discusses K.C.’s first-team successes from their 27-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Friday night in their first preseason game of the year. Despite taking a 10-point loss, the reality is that Chiefs fans should be quite happy with what they saw from the red and gold at home, both from the starters and some of the young developing players on the roster.
Brisco will also discuss the leap for first-round rookie quarterback Patrick Mahomes, as he ascends the depth chart to move up the second quarterback slot over Tyler Bray. In addition, writer Matt Derrick from Chiefs Digest joins the show to give an update from training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri and to discuss his takeaways from the preseason game as well.
