Carrington Harrison joins Locked on Chiefs to discuss Alex Smith and whether the Chiefs did enough this offseason to really compete in 2017.
On Monday, the Kansas City Chiefs had another padded practice and several players were missing. They did get some good news on Monday with the return of Steven Nelson to practice. While they did get good news with one CB two others went out on Monday. De’Vante Bausby and Jacoby Glenn got injured on Monday with an ankle injury and a concussion respectively. Kicker Cairo Santos is also dealing with a groin injury. Eric Berry, Bennie Logan and Travis Kelce each missed another practice for Kansas City. They would more than likely be playing if there was a real game on the line, but for now they don’t need to practice.
On today’s show, we’re joined by Carrington Harrison of 610 Sports in Kansas City. Harrison joins us to talk about his recent comments on Alex Smith and what has stood out to him at Chiefs training camp. Did the Chiefs do enough to address lack of talent at multiple big positions? Can they overcome questions at wide receiver and cornerback or will that be their downfall this season? Several players stick out but the questions remain can the Chiefs get over the hump this season.

The Chiefs have one more practice today before having the next two days off to get ready for the 49ers on Friday night. Kansas City has many questions that will start to be answered over the next couple of weeks. The roster bubble players have a big chance coming up on Friday to make a great case for being on the final 53 man roster.
