The Chiefs had a quick walk through on Sunday on fields that had seen plenty of rain in the past 24 hours.

Multiple players missed practice again on Sunday as the Kansas City Chiefs went through a short walk through. Derrick Johnson, Eric Berry, Steven Nelson, Bennie Logan, David King, and Travis Kelce all didn’t practice on Sunday. After practice on Sunday, Reid expressed optimism regarding the guys that didn’t practice stating that it’s better to just get them healthy. Kelce, King and Chris Jones spent time in the training tent on Sunday, which is a step in the right direction for Kelce.

Terrence Mitchell and Josh Mauga returned to practice on Sunday after missing a couple of days this week. Both took it easy and will probably be good to go for Friday night. With all of the players missing with injuries plenty of defenders got first string reps. Kevin Pierre-Louis looks to be adjusting well for the Chiefs and stepped in for a couple of first string plays. He also made the most of the opportunities by batting down two passes when tested once down the sideline and the other across the middle.

It’s amazing how quickly the time in Saint Joseph is coming to an end. KC will return Monday and Tuesday before having Wednesday and Thursday off before the first preseason game. They come back to Saint Joseph for a couple of days next week on Monday and Tuesday as well and then they will be done. In the coming weeks it will be decided whether or not the Chiefs will return to Missouri Western. My gut is telling me that right now they will pick up the options over the next two years.
