After being forced to go up against him in practice every day, Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters says Tyreek Hill is one of the NFL’s best WRs.
Last year, Tyreek Hill was one of the NFL’s biggest surprises and best offensive rookies. This year, he might make another leap as one of the best offensive players overall. According to Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters, Hill is already there.
"You got to compete with the best if you want to be the best. He is one of the best receivers in our league right now so you have to get work."
Given that Peters goes up against Hill in practice every day in training camp, Peters knows what it’s like to go against Hill better than anyone. The two-time Pro Bowl defender also knows a thing or two about going up against the best in the league, given that he goes against the opponent’s best wideout every single week. Clearly Peters is a believer that Hill’s ceiling is sky high.
The Kansas City Chiefs also hope so as an organization, as they plan on focusing more of the offense around him as a wide receiver in his sophomore season. Andy Reid has already mentioned that the team will be removing Hill as a kick returner in order to help him remain fresh on offense and healthy overall. If comparisons to DeSean Jackson hold true, Hill will provide the Chiefs with a top-flight target for years to come.
Last season, Hill had 61 catches for 593 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns. Hill had 12 touchdowns overall, including rushing and return totals.
