Chiefs WR Seantavius Jones had the play of camp today as he went up and snatched a ball away from Marcus Peters.

The second day of training camp for the Kansas City Chiefs was a lot less crowded than the first day. Not nearly as many fans showed up on Saturday morning, but those that did got to watch multiple players on both sides of the ball have good days. Seantavius Jones, Marcus Peters, Philip Gaines, Ross Travis, CJ Spiller and Patrick Mahomes all made plays today that helped them stand out.

Jones’ catch over Peters was probably the play of the day. He went up and got a throw from Smith over Peters who was stretching out for it. There is video of the specific play on Periscope on the LockedonChiefs Twitter account if you would like to see it. Philip Gaines had an interception in front of Tyreek Hill with a beautiful break on the ball. Ross Travis had multiple great catches but one in the two minute drill from Mahomes started the drive. The next two passes from Mahomes went to Spiller who made a nice play on both of them.

Mahomes was clearly on the money during the two-minute drill. He was the only Chiefs quarterback to lead his team down the field for a score. Smith got within a couple yards of a TD but Conley dropped it in the endzone. On the TD Mahomes showed the skillset that helped him excel in college. His improvisation was on full display as he ran for his TD. The pocket broke down and Mahomes stepped forward. He ran to his left and made eye contact with his receiver in the end zone. He pointed his receiver towards the pylon and then ran in untouched for a TD.
