The Kansas City Chiefs made a couple of roster moves without a GM to make them. We also take a look at Alex Smith and what this season means to him.

On Friday the Chiefs made a couple of small roster moves as they prepare for training camp. They traded one safety for another and brought back linebacker  Josh Mauga to the roster. What the Mauga move means is up for debate on today’s episode of Locked on Chiefs.

Alex Smith is at a crossroads with the Chiefs organization. Most figure that he is going to be released after the season and that he will be playing elsewhere next year. What is unknown is how he will play knowing that this is most likely his last season in Kansas City. Does he step up his game and give Kansas City a possible trade market headed into next season? Or does he flounder like he did most of last season and the Chiefs are left on the outside looking in in the AFC Championship game?

Camp starts in just about 3 weeks and there are plenty of questions as the Chiefs head to St. Joe. We are ramping up to be ready to cover the team on a daily basis again and will have you covered at training camp. We have a special show coming later this week where will we be joined by the three guys that run Arrowheads Abroad you won’t want to miss it.
